This redevelopment of a key gateway site to the village of Englefield Green was awarded ‘Best New Housing Scheme’ by Runnymede Borough Council.

The main design philosophy for this scheme was to provide a transition between the three storey Carfax House and the two storey Victorian properties in St Judes Road. The scheme maintains a strong active frontage with individual private access points onto the street.

The design assimilates the architectural style of St Judes Road utilising a palette of materials to match the existing Victorian terraces. The strong vertical alignment of windows at all levels and stepped parapets further reinforce the local vernacular.
